In chapter 6, Bernard and Lenina have a conversation about freedom. Lenina says that everyone has a great deal of freedom. The freedom "to have the most wonderful time." Soma shows this kind of freedom in a way which they no longer feel that they should ask questions in society. On the other hand Bernard says that this is no freedom at all. In fact Bernard imagines freedom as an individual apart from society. Throughout the book everyone has a different point of view on freedom and what it means to them.

Hey, might want to post this under the Brave new world forum bravenewworld.boards.net/board/1/general-board Just so that way you get recognition for it. Also I would consider Bernard's point of view to be more accurate. Look at all the of big brother programs in place in this new "utopia". Looking at the first few chapter we can see that parents no longer have the freedom to raise there own children or really be parents at all.
